In today’s report we introduce the Lexibook DJA100 Action Camera. In the scope of delivery there are many accessories in the form of holders for bikes, helmets and more.
The model also has a 120 degree wide-angle lens and a 1.5 inch display.
In any case, the product is quite inexpensive, so it is quite suitable for beginners. In our opinion, however, the resolution could be a bit higher.
Technical data
Most of you probably won’t know the manufacturer of this cam and therefore some suspicion is also appropriate. However, the brand has already proven itself several times in the electronics sector. Lexibook manufactures various computer models for children and is well known in the field of consumer electronics.
Of course you are not dealing with a GoPro-Cam, that’s clear, but the camera costs only a fraction of that. Meanwhile there are also models that are cheap and have a higher resolution than the Lexibook DJA100 camera.
Thanks to interpolation, this model has a 5 megapixel resolution. With regard to the Y-axis, the cam also has image stabilization.
There is also a WiFi function integrated, with which you can connect the camera to a tablet or smartphone.
Design and appearance
For many of you, the design of the Lexibook DJA100 camera will take some getting used to. The model is particularly impressive because of the colour orange. On the right hand side there is also a display with 1.5 inch which is about 3.8 centimeters.
In the front is the photo sensor and the microphone. The sound quality of the recording could well be a bit better, especially when the camera is inside the case, this is reflected in the audio track.
The camera is also supplied with a waterproof housing, which also protects the cam from shocks, snow and dust.
In order to be able to use the camera in many different ways, a holding device for the mounting accessories is located below the housing.
Image sensor and video resolution
The photo sensor has only 2 megapixels, but is expanded to 5 MP by interpolation. Unfortunately, interpolation is not exactly known for very high quality shots and we also see a clear weakness of the camera here.
You can record videos with a resolution of Full HD 1080P with 30 frames per second or alternatively HD 720P and 60 frames per second.
The camera has a wide angle of about 120 degrees.
Menu navigation and recording modes
On the right in front of the display are some buttons and controls to operate the camera. After a short time, we think you will find your way around the menu quite well.
Battery and runtime
A lithium-ion battery is included. This provides a maximum runtime of up to 90 minutes.

Unfortunately, this camera is not the latest model on the market, which of course means that the technical equipment is inferior. However, you will also benefit from a lower price.
Furthermore the cam runs very reliable and has a waterproof housing. In addition, many accessories are also included in the scope of delivery.
