Design and appearance
Although the camera doesn’t look particularly flashy, it still differs from the masses because of its silver touch and rounded corners. This makes a noble and high-quality impression. All materials are the same and no cheap plastic was used.
The dimensions are 4,1 cm x 2,3 cm 6 cm. This makes it quite compact and handy.
On the back of the Activeon GCA10W action camera there is a 2 inch touch display, which also makes a very valuable impression and shows the image of the photo sensor fluid and high resolution. The touch screen is made of hardened glass, which has undergone several hardening processes, making it extremely resistant and preventing scratches on the screen.

The case that is included in the scope of delivery looks a bit cheap at first sight, but if you take a closer look you can see that this case is also of a very high quality and that it is not plastic waste. This point is very important especially for divers and water sportsmen. Because the manufacturer advertises with a protection up to a water depth of 60 meters. The all-purpose housing is your reliable companion and protects the camera from dirt, dust and absorbs shocks. It ensures that your cam is always protected during all activities.
Image sensor, resolution and memory
The Activeon GCA10W Gold Action Camera has a 16 megapixel sensor built in, which allows you to record Full HD videos with 1080p at 30 or 60 frames per second. Unfortunately, this model doesn’t have 4K recording, but that’s not too bad, as the videos still look super good and razor-sharp.
Many cheap and apparently inexpensive models only have an interpolated 4K recording function and produce poorer images than the Activeon GCA10W Gold Action camera.
Very popular is also the fourfold zoom and the photo series you can take with the camera. These are just a few of the possible modes. You can also set the wide angle up to 170 degrees for photos and 160 degrees for videos.
The cool thing is that you can set in the menu which resolution the camera should record with. In the menu, you can set the number of pixels and thus the image sharpness between 5 and 16 megapixels. A lower resolution will save you memory space, but the quality of the pictures will also decrease.
A MicroSD card with up to 64 Gbyte can be used as storage medium. A memory card with 8 Gbyte is included in the scope of delivery.
Battery and runtime
Ingenious is also the exchangeable battery from Activeon. With it you can capture video recordings up to a length of 120 minutes. If that’s not enough for you, the battery can also be replaced quickly and easily. It weighs only 28 grams and is about 7 cm long, so you can take as many battery packs with you on your travels and activities as you like.

The set contains everything you need to make the Activeon GCA10W Gold Action Camera versatile.
Everything is securely and comfortably packed in a transparent plastic. Included in the delivery is of course the camera itself, the underwater housing (transparent or clear), exchangeable back for the all-purpose housing, a battery with 3.8 Volt and 1100 mAh, a USB charging cable, a Micro SD card with 8 Gbyte memory space provided by the manufacturer SanDisk and a user manual.
