Technical data
If you look at the technical data of the Eachine EG16 WingGod drone, the model looks super modern and beautiful. It remains to be seen whether the technical refinements and advantages will work in the long run and prove themselves in practice over the long term. But in our test everything worked super.
The drone has a GPS positioning system, 2 cameras and an optical sensor.
Although the camera is specified as 4K, this only applies to photo shoots, videos can be made with a maximum resolution of 2K.
The motors are brushed Coreless 1021 motors, in some shops it is stated that they are completely brushless drives, but this does not correspond to reality.
In spite of these small inconsistencies, this small model aircraft is definitely worth its money.
The top speed is a remarkable 60 kilometers per hour, the drives are very powerful and accelerate the model to this high speed within a very short time.
The lower camera is a 0.3 MP optical flux lens with a resolution of 480P.
Construction of the drone
This model has similar collapsible wings as the DJI Mavic. When folded, the Eachine EG16 WINGGOD measures only 13.5 cm x 18.5 cm x 6 cm.
Unfolded the EG16 has a proud size of 30 cm x 26 cm x 6 cm.
Since the quadrocopter only has a mass of about 210 g, you don’t need an extra drone marker, this is only needed when the weight is 250 g or more.
Camera
The camera in the front area has a very high resolution and has 4K. It sends data with a 5G frequency and has a wide angle of 120 degrees. It is also controllable in an angle of 90 degrees. This works with a built-in servo.
Unfortunately you can’t record 4K videos with it, it only has a 2K resolution.
The photo resolution is 4096 x 3072 pixels and the video resolution 2048 x 1080 pixels.
All pictures are recorded on a Micro SD card. Thanks to the 5G WiFi function, the drone can also easily send pictures and videos in real time to your smartphone or tablet.

Remote control and range
Concerning the FPV system, the maximum range here is 200 to maximum 300 meters. The remote control unfortunately only has a transmission power that is sufficient up to a distance of 200 meters.
Battery and flight time
This drone has a strong battery with 1800 mAh, it works at a voltage of 3.85 volts, it is a Lipo battery.
The maximum flight time is 14 minutes, but the battery takes a really long time to recharge. It takes up to 210 minutes if the flight battery is completely empty.
Other great features of the Eachine EG16 WINGGOD drone
Thanks to the GPS positioning system, the quadrocopter can balance itself with the help of the GPS data. In addition, there is a gyroscope system in which the drone is balanced by a 6-axis balancer.
Then there is the optical flow positioning, thanks to which the model aircraft can be flown very easily indoors. The built-in altitude hold mode does the rest, making automatic hovering even easier.
There is also a Follow Me mode where the quadrocopter flies after a specific target. There is also the possibility to let the drone fly in a circle around a certain object.
Furthermore you can draw a certain line on the screen of your smartphone in the app, which the drone then follows.
Another feature that we particularly liked is the gesture control. You can easily control the quadrocopter with the help of hand signals and gestures.
In itself, the model is also very beginner-friendly. In total there are 3 different speed levels, with which the flight beginner can slowly adapt to faster control commands and reactions of the drone.
If the flying object should crash after all, this is not a big problem, because the drone is very forgiving, because it is made of a high-strength and resistant material. This is a special technical plastic.
To help newcomers to the drone to find their way around better in the beginning, there is an interesting flight mode. It is called headless mode. Here the quadrocopter can be controlled independently of its orientation. This means that if the drone is standing sideways to you and you move the joystick to the front, the model will not fly sideways but to the front.
