A cool cam with more than 140 degrees centigrade lens is the iSHOXS ISAW A2 action camera. It has many different shooting modes, such as burst mode or aqua mode, and you can also use it to create time-lapse shots. The camera also comes with a housing that is waterproof to a depth of 50 meters.
In terms of price, we are more in the lower to middle segment with this model. But the quality is impressive. Of course you should not compare the iSHOXS ISAW A2 Action Camera with a GoPro, but for hobby use and beginners it is very suitable.

Technical Specifications
Unfortunately this is not a 4K camera. However, if you look at many cams from some manufacturers who claim to sell 4K cams for a ridiculous price, you will soon realize that most of them only offer interpolated 4K. Often even the Full HD resolution is better than the interpolated 4K resolution.
If you want to film videos in landscape format with the iSHOXS ISAW A2 action camera, you have to mount the cam upright. This model cannot be compared to the usual action cameras in terms of structure and setup.
Design
Sure, the iSHOXS ISAW A2 has turned out a bit small and with its compact size reminds a bit of the GoPro Hero 4, but it still does a pretty good job.
The CMOS sensor is located relatively centrally and below it there is a small status screen where you can see the most important data such as recording status or recording time.
Usually it is placed upright, on the left side are the most important buttons for operating the camera.
In general, it has to be said that this model has been on the market for many years and is therefore not comparable to current cams in terms of design.
Camera and resolution
3.5 megapixels don’t sound that much at first, but are sufficient to be able to film with a resolution of Full HD 1080p. The frame rate performance here is around 30 frames per second.
The 140-degree wide-angle lens lets you capture your entire surroundings without losing important details. One thing this photo sensor is particularly good at is impressive colour depth. This is due to the increased quality of the lens coating and increases the vividness of the photo.
Menu navigation and operation
The manufacturer’s goal was to create a particularly reliable menu structure, where the elements are arranged graphically correct and you have all the information you need at a glance.
This is also quite well achieved. You can reach all the important points in the menu via various upper and lower points.
What shooting options and photo modes are available?
Burst: In burst mode, you can take up to 7 pictures per second with a single press of the shutter button. This allows you to create spectacular photo series and capture in detail how someone jumps from a rock into the sea, for example.
Superslowmo shots: In the lowest resolution format (WVGA) the camera produces up to 120 frames per second. This allows you to create cool slow-motion videos by playing the video sequences slower than they were recorded.
Aqua Mode: The iSHOXS ISAW A2 Action Camera has the ability to automatically adjust the white balance, for example when you submerge it under water. Normally in deeper waters, the recorded material will appear bluer and bluer because some of the light is reflected at the water surface. To prevent this effect from being too strong, the camera adjusts here.
Time-lapse: Thanks to the extensive technology, you can also set specific time-lapse intervals in which the camera should take pictures, afterwards they will be stitched together to a video.

Conclusion
Compared to other cams, the iSHOXS ISAW A2 Action Camera is very durable and has proven itself. So the manufacturer has done a great job here. But it is also a disadvantage that the cam is already so old and has only 3.5 megapixels. We usually prefer “fresher models”. What we liked is the depth of up to 50 metres, the waterproof casing, the many shooting modes and the fairly reasonable price.
Finally, we can recommend the iSHOXS ISAW A2 Action Camera. When buying it, however, you should consider the mentioned disadvantages.
