Technical data
The equipment of the Potensic 720P drone is quite lavish for the price. We were also particularly impressed by the compact construction and the noble design of the model.
The drone is controlled via a 2.4 Ghz remote control. There is also a simple holder in which you can attach your smartphone. The controller lies very well in the hand and it provides a stable connection between the remote control and the drone.
The images can be transferred in real time from the drone to the smartphone, so a reliable and elegant FPV flight is possible.
There is also an extra app for this which is free and can be installed quickly and easily.
Design
The cockpit is not exactly drawn by special color highlights, but is kept quite plain, so it is simply black.
Among other things, the propellers are protected from external damage, for which appropriate protective devices are installed.
The camera is flush mounted and hardly noticeable. Unfortunately, there is no mechanical and also no digital gimbal system.
Above in the rear area there is an on/off button in the color grey.
The material is quite resistant, so the drone is also forgiving for the one or other crash.
Camera
This model is equipped with a 720P camera. As far as quality is concerned, there is not much difference to many other drones with 720P cam.
The video material is average and perfectly adequate for hobby use, but professionals should choose a model with a better camera, as we do not think it is suitable for professional use.

Battery, range and flight time
The built-in flight battery is really something. It is a 1000 mAh strong LiPo battery. It is easy to insert and remove again and also has a USB port.
As far as flight time is concerned, this depends very much on the speed level at which the model is controlled.
When the battery is running low, a loud di di-tone sounds to inform you about the low battery status.
If the drone is paired with the smartphone, even the mobile phone will vibrate to alert you that the battery is low.
The Potensic 720P drone can also fly up to 50 meters high and far, which is perfectly sufficient for a beginner.

Flight behaviour
The Potensic 720P drone has excellent flight characteristics. It accepts control commands quickly and without problems, they are executed directly.
If you ever lose your bearings, this is no problem, because with the headless mode the drone can be retrieved very quickly by simply pulling down the right joystick.
As already mentioned, taking off and landing is also very easy, there is a button for this, if you press it, the model will take off.
As a beginner you will get used to the controls and the flight behaviour of the model very quickly.

At this price you even have a flight plan which you can set and which the drone will then fly off.
You can define it as you like in the app.
Especially the automatic start-land-function and the headless mode are very suitable for beginners.
Headless means that the drone moves exactly in the direction in which it is controlled, regardless of how it is aligned.

For our taste, the range could be a little bit higher, but it is perfectly ok for this price.
The flight behaviour is super. Since the quadrocopter flies stable, reliable and safe, it is also super suitable for outdoor flights, but it should not be too windy.
Also the picture and video quality are good according to the price.
