You will not find particularly large quadrocopters among the offers, but plenty of mini drones and toy drones. Of course we looked at the next best model and ordered the Revell Control 23876. You can get it already for less than 50€.
Take-off and landing is at the touch of a button, and the model is also to be equipped with a 6-axis stabilisation system and an easy to fly altitude sensor. In addition, the Copter is also equipped with a propeller guard. Perfect for beginners who want to gain some experience and flight feeling.
Further technical details and equipment
The model is completely assembled and “ready to fly”, so just unpack and fly. Fully charged, the battery keeps the drone in the air for a full 20 minutes. However, the actual flight time depends on the pilot’s flying style. With a much more powerful battery, the flight time could be extended a bit, the 20 minutes can be reached with the standard flight battery, which has about 1.500 mAh.
It is also exchangeable and with intermediate landings and several batteries the flight time can be extended at will. The LiPo battery can be quickly charged using the USB charger supplied.
In the air, Revell Controll fights its way up to its price. Of course you shouldn’t expect a wonder drone here, but keep in mind that it only cost around 50€! The dimensions are about 270 mm in length, 270 mm in width and 70 mm in height. The take-off weight is about 220g.
Slight gusts of wind are not a big problem for the Copter, the model can cope with them, but suddenly strong winds can be dangerous, because the motors have only limited power to counteract them. The drone is controlled by a 4CH-GHz remote control, unfortunately the range is limited to 30 meters.
A highlight is the 720p HD on-board camera, with which you can record exciting videos and pictures from a bird’s eye view. This is not usual for a quadrocopter in this price range, which of course speaks for this model!
The Revell Controll 23876 has neither a mechanical nor a digital gimbal system. Video recordings are therefore somewhat blurred because movements are not balanced. The recorded photo and video material is then stored on an SD card. However, the memory card is not included in the delivery, you have to buy it separately.
Things that we particularly liked are the headless mode and the pre-programmed flip function, which can be activated by pressing a button.
The advantage of the headless mode is that if you have lost your orientation with the drone, you can switch to this mode and control the model regardless of the direction in which the drone head is pointing. By pulling back the right-hand joystick, the Revell Controll 23876 flies back to the pilot in headless mode without the pilot having to worry about the current flight attitude or direction.
The drone has 2 speed levels. On low level you should fly indoors and only switch to the highest level once you have gained some flying experience with the Revell. It also has LED lighting, which is unfortunately not enough to illuminate the environment at night. But you can see it much better in the twilight or in a dark room.

Included is everything you need to take off immediately, except a set of batteries for the radio remote control. If you want to record video and photo material, you will also need an SD card, as this is not included either.

Advantages and disadvantages
When evaluating the advantages and disadvantages, one should always keep in mind that this is a small, very cheap drone. Outstanding quality, you will usually only find in higher priced models or a manufacturer who has a lot of experience in developing and building drones.

Conclusion
You get a little drone here for very little money. So if you just want to try flying a quadrocopter, you can try it with the Revell Controll 23876. But you shouldn’t expect too much from this model, for about 50 € you won’t get a mature model that can keep up with other drones.

Alternatives to the Revell Controll 23876 drone
If you are looking for an entry-level drone, but have only a small budget, you can also choose from several alternatives. Parrot, Hubsan and the world market leader DJI are the contact point #1! In the field of toy drones the Parrot Airborne Night and the Parrot Mambo are very popular. DJI also has mini drones, the Ryze DJI Tello and the DJI Spark are highly recommended, but you will have to spend a little more money on the latter. Another favourite model of many beginners is the Hubsan H501S X4, which you can get for less than 200€ and it did very well in our test.
