In this review today, we present the Rollei Actioncam 560 Touch. It has a rather inconspicuous housing and can be used for various applications.
It is also equipped with a WiFi module that connects the action camera to your smartphone or tablet. There is also a free app that can be installed on your Android or IOS device.
You can edit the recordings on your device using the program and share them on social networks.
The small camera can produce high-quality 4K video recordings with up to 60 frames per second.

Technical data and facts
The action camera has a small touch display on the back. Here you can not only view the recordings, i.e. photos and video, but also set all functions in the menu.
The display is about 2 inches in size and is therefore completely sufficient to operate the camera well.
The touch function works very reliably. All commands that are entered are implemented immediately. Altogether the menu function works very smoothly. The structure is very clear and you can choose between different scene modes.
Among other things, between cycling, diving, winter, water sports, night mode and manual mode. The recording performance is then optimized directly from the camera to the corresponding scene.
In addition, the Rollei Action Camera 560 Touch impresses with its wide range of functions. These include video image stabilisation, which you can switch on or off.
The image stabilization is easily done via 6 axes thanks to a corresponding gyroscope. This will give you particularly smooth videos, even on shaky ground or situations where vibrations are transmitted to the camera body.
The delivery also includes various filters for the underwater housing.
With the grey filter you can take pictures despite strong sunlight. The red filter is suitable for improving the color spectrum at a diving depth between 3 and 15 meters.
There is also a pink filter, which is especially used in tropical areas in the water to create a better color combination of the pictures.
The set also includes a small remote control with 3 different buttons. One button is for switching on, one for starting a video recording and one for triggering photos.
Due to the 2.4 Ghz frequency band a stable transmission between remote control and action camera is possible. You can easily wear the remote control on your wrist.

Design
Unobtrusive, rounded and black. These are the 3 characteristics which describe the outer appearance of the Rollei Actioncam 560 Touch quite well.
The wide-angle lens, which goes over 160 degrees, is also ideal. It captures the most important details and also helps you to take good photos and videos even in low light conditions, as considerably more light is captured by the lens.
Also included is an underwater housing which is waterproof down to a depth of meters and protects the electronics from water penetration. Especially divers and snorkelers benefit from this. You can also use the cam as a helmet camera with the help of the housing, for this purpose there is a corresponding holder below the housing.
The dimensions are about 60.2 mm x 41 mm x 24 mm and the weight is about 62 g without battery and 83 g with battery. So this is a very compact and handy action camera.
Camera
This model has a small photo sensor with a resolution of 20 MP. You can choose between different resolution formats in the menu.
Typically photos are stored in JPG format and videos in MOV.
As far as the photo resolutions are concerned, the following formats are available:
- 20 MP (5120 x 3840 pixels)
- 14 MP (4320 x 3240 pixels)
- 10 MP (4320 x 2430 pixels)
- 8 MP (3840 x 2160 pixels)
- 5 MP (2592 x 1944 pixels)
- 2 MP (1920 x 1080 pixels)
Whereby videos can also be adjusted differently:
- 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels at 60 fps or 30 fps)
- 1440P (2560 x 1440 pixels at 30 fps)
- 1080P (1920 x 1080 pixels at 120 fps or 60 fps)
- 720P (1280 x 720 pixels at 120 fps)
Battery and runtime
A rechargeable lithium-ion battery with a 4K resolution is installed. It operates at a voltage of 3.8 Volt and has a high charging capacity of 1100 mAh.
This allows the camera to record up to 95 minutes at a time when the WiFi is switched off and you can film at 4K at 60 fps. With a lower resolution and lower frame rate, the battery will last much longer. These values apply to the fully charged lithium ion battery which is included in the delivery.

Extensive range of functions: What other recording features are available?
The camera has many great shooting modes, which we often only find in very expensive models.
Especially the video loop function, time-lapse and the self-timer can be found on many actioncams. The Rollei Actioncam 560 Touch also features wind noise reduction, image stabilisation and an ultra-fast photo series function.

Conclusion: Is the purchase really worthwhile?
In our opinion, the purchase of the Rollei Actioncam 560 Touch camera is definitely worthwhile. The camera is extremely cheap for what it offers and we especially liked the functions such as the 6-axis image stabilisation and the high-quality Sony chip sensor, which produces particularly sharp 4K images.
Thanks to WiFi, you can always connect the camera to your smartphone and have full control over the recordings.
Unique to this model are also the different water filters you can put on the camera body, we have never seen this function on any other cam before.
All in all, we have a very good rating and a very clear recommendation to buy!
