In today’s report we introduce the SPC Maker K2 FPV racing drone.
The company SPC Maker has launched 2 new quadrocopter models a while ago, the K1 and K2.
Both models are quite small racing drones with a Runcam Split Mini 2 camera, which even records 1080P videos at 60 frames per second.
The K2 has very powerful brushless electric motors and a FPV Wifi camera with live image transmission.
It is enormously small, handy and compact. It also has a wide field of view and a robust frame structure.
From the design it has a rather functional character. That means it looks very technical, here and there you can see the electronics and the frame is made of carbon.
As a beginner you should slowly get used to the extraordinary flight characteristics of the SPC Maker K2 FPV Racing Drone. If you have never flown such a model before, you should get help from an experienced quadrocopter pilot.
With the 2 MP camera of the drone, you can start a live image transmission from the drone to your FPV glasses and control the quadrocopter from the ego perspective.
Technical data and facts
In order to guarantee the strongest possible drive, the SPC Maker K2 FPV racing drone has 4 pieces of the powerful brushless motors with the type designation 1105KV6000.
You can easily adjust the camera manually in a range between 25 and 35 degrees. It makes a very high-quality impression!
In the shop you can choose different delivery combinations. For example if the drone should be shipped with a compatible FUTABA receiver, Flysky receiver or Frsky receiver.
For the batteries you have to decide for yourself what you want to buy. For this model, flight batteries between 2S and 4S size fit. It should be in any case Lipo batteries.
The working frequency is in a range of about 5.8 Ghz between 5645 and 5945 Mhz.
As flight controller the omnibus F4SD is used. It was developed especially for racing drones and is often used because of its low cost.
The bus supports telemetry to the transmitter using FrSky Telemetry or CRSF Crossfire Telemetry.

Design
Compared to other FPV Racing Quadrocopters, there are no really big differences in design. Carbon is used to a large extent in this drone, which is particularly light, stable and elegant.
The propellers are in orange, as is the housing of the camera. Above there is enough space for a large battery, but you can also mount it underneath the drone.
You don’t need an extra sign with name and address for the SPC Maker K2 FPV Racing Drone, because drone signs are only mandatory for a weight of 250 g or more.
The model weighs only 91 g (without flight battery) and has rather compact dimensions: 105 mm x 99 mm x 25 mm.
Unfortunately there is no extra housing or sheathing to protect the electronics of the K2, so we recommend you to fly only in dry weather outside.
Camera
The SPC Maker K2 FPV racing drone is equipped with the high quality RunCam Split Mini 2 camera. The cam itself has a format of 4 to 3 and 16 to 9 (automatic adjustment). The built-in lens is easily exchangeable and the cam is compatible with BetaFlight / CleanFlight / iNavFlight and KISS FC.
The FOV field angle is 130 degrees and in the recording 165 degrees.
As a recording sensor a 2 MP photo sensor with 2 MP is used. On this basis you can choose between different resolution formats:
- 1080P at 60 fps
- 1080P at 30 fps
- 720P at 60 fps
The cam has a fairly low latency and works in a voltage range between 5 and 17 volts. The weight of the camera module is about 15 g.
As storage medium you can use Micro SD cards with a maximum size of 64 GB, these must be class 6 or higher. The manufacturer rather recommends a class 10 Micro SD card.
