The ThiEYE i60 action camera is perfectly equipped with a high resolution, good image sensor and simple operation to record your adventures outdoors or with a protective cover in 60 meters water depth.
Especially the price is very tempting, although photographs have a maximum resolution of about 12 megapixels, but this is quite sufficient for hobby use.
Technical data
We think the design of the camera is pretty cool, at the front around the lens is an orange wreath, to the left of the lens is the button to switch the cam on or off.
On the left side you have a Micro HDMI, a Micro USB port, and the Micro SD card slot.
A waterproof case is also included in the delivery, which is waterproof to a depth of about 60 meters. So the camera is perfect for snorkelers and divers. Thanks to the 170-degree wide-angle perspective, it captures much more of the field of view and offers almost twice the image area as conventional mobile phone cameras, for example.

The ThiEYE i60 action camera records high-resolution videos in 4K format at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. To save memory space, you can also set lower resolutions such as 1080P at 60 fps. At a higher frame rate, videos in which fast movements occur appear even more fluid.
Thanks to the professional OV image sensor and advanced processor, the i60 offers improved image performance compared to the competition. Even though the quality is not comparable to a GoPro camera, it makes a really good impression for this price.
Colours appear saturated and picture and video recordings are detailed and pin sharp.
Photos can be taken with 12 megapixels, as already mentioned. You can view the pictures on the 2.0 inch HD screen on the back of the action camera or via a paired smart phone/tablet.
A clear advantage over competing models is also the possibility to use large memory cards. The ThiEYE i60+ supports Micro SD cards with a maximum size of about 128 Gbyte (Class 10 or UHS-I). We advise you to format them first!
Menu navigation and recording modes
The menu is clearly arranged. You can set different modes, such as loop recording, slow motion and time lapse mode. You can record videos in fast motion with individually set picture intervals, which range from 0.5 to 60 seconds.
In addition, you have the possibility to set a self-timer, take single shots and serial pictures.
Battery and recording time
The scope of delivery includes 2 long-life batteries with a charging capacity of 1050 mAh each. One battery charge lasts for about 90 minutes recording time.
The special feature of the ThiEYE i60+ is the possibility to use the camera while charging. For example, you can take a powerbank with you, charge the cam and take photos and videos at the same time.
Even without a powerbank, the 2 Cam batteries provide you with 180 minutes of runtime.
Connecting the camera to the smartphone
Thanks to high-quality Wifi technology, the camera can be connected to a smartphone or tablet. Here you can follow your recordings in real time. Latency, or delay, is minimal.
We recommend you to download the appropriate app from ThiEYE. It can be used for Android and iOS smartphones and you have cool effect templates for your photos and videos.
