If you are looking for a pretty cheap underwater camera for about 50€, we can highly recommend the Victure Action camera. It is waterproof up to 30 meters, has a 2 inch LCD screen and comes with 20 multifunctional accessories.
Technical features
Optically, the camera makes a very good impression, but is also not very noticeable. For the external processing, plastics were used, which are typical for action cameras in this price range.
But the interior and the technical features are quite something, especially if you keep the price in mind. In our opinion this model is damn cheap.
Image sensor, resolution and memory
For photo and video recording, a 16 megapixel image sensor is used, which can generate videos with a resolution of up to 4K. A 170 degree wide-angle lens is integrated, which is also typical.
In order to create pictures, you can choose between different photo resolutions in the menu: 16 MP, 12 MP, 8 MP, 5 MP, 4 MP. The pictures look quite good and stand out due to good colour depth and a sharpness of detail. The model we are looking at is the Victure Action Cam AC600, but there are other models of the Victure Cam, for example the AC800 has 20 megapixels and is waterproof up to 40 meters.
Of course you can also create 4K videos, but you can also use other recording formats in order not to strain your data memory and battery too much.
The frame rate also plays an important role here, i.e. how many pictures you want to take per second. At 4K, for example, you have a maximum of 25 frames per second at your disposal. You can also set the following resolution values:
- 4K at 25fps
- 2.7K at 30 fps
- 1080p at 60fps
- 1080p at 30fps
- 720p at maximum 120fps
- 720p at 60fps
The video compression is H.264 and you can use a Micro-SD memory card of class 10 with a maximum of 32 Gbyte memory. Unfortunately a memory card is not included in the scope of delivery.
For data transfer, there are various connections on the side, including a Micro HDMI connection for live image transfer and a Micro-USB connection for transferring files.
Menu navigation and recording modes
Despite the low price, the manufacturer has given some thought to the menu navigation, it is simple, not overloaded and the most important menu items are easy & quick to reach.
The camera has a lot of recording functions, including time lapse and a 4x zoom function. You can also start a continuous shooting, where the camera takes pictures in quick succession. It is also possible to take pictures in intervals, for this you can choose between different time intervals in the menu.
There is also a dive mode. You can also set the ISO sensitivity and the wide-angle lens (170, 140, 110, 70).
Wireless connection
The Victure action camera can be paired with a smartphone or tablet, using a Wifi signal transmission.
Both iOS and Android devices are supported. All you need to do is download the required app and you can view the live camera image on your device. Unfortunately there is a small delay in the image transmission, so we do not recommend the FPV use of the camera in model flying, but the latency is still quite good for this price.
On your smartphone, you can also adjust some important camera settings and control the action cam.
Battery and runtime
In the scope of supply 2 batteries are contained, which you can exchange, as soon as one of the two is empty. One battery lasts for a maximum of 120 minutes, so 2 hours. Thus, you get about 240 minutes of runtime with 2 fully charged batteries. Compared to other models this is pretty good!
Assets and drawbacks
Many customers and buyers on different platforms report almost only good things about the Victure action camera. It is really worth its price, so we have listed the most important advantages and disadvantages for you.
