Design
The appearance of the Jamara 422004 drone is quite simple. Between the two feet is the small 720P camera. Above it there are 8 white LED lights, so there is also enough light at night or twilight. These LED’s are also on the side and on the back.
We also liked the design of the remote control. This is a remote control which is quite similar to the shape of a controller. On top of it there is a small colorless display, which shows the most important things like the charge status.
The dimensions of the drone are 399 mm (length) x 105 mm (height).
Since the drone weighs only 150.8 g, you do not need an extra license plate to legally take off with this model, this is only necessary from 250 on.
Camera
The built-in camera is a HD Cam with 720P. We’ve seen better cameras in this price segment, but the image and video material is sufficient for hobby use.
Professionals will probably have to look for a more expensive model in order to be able to create images that meet their expectations. We recommend the DJI Mavic Pro or the DJI Phantom 4.
Unfortunately, there is no gimbal system either, so the video recordings will show slight vibrations and shaking caused by the movements of the quadrocopter.
Battery, charging, flight time and range
A remarkable advantage of the drone is the quick-change batteries. You can order additional flight batteries, make a stopover, change the battery and then continue flying.
A high-quality LiPo battery with a voltage of 7.4 volts and a charging capacity of 500 mAh is included in the scope of delivery.
